The Deaf Accessibility Network of the Philippines (DANP) aims to promote and carry out its mission of Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Media and Technology. As a non-profit network organization, we incorporate volunteering into our work. We engage actively with the Deaf community in the Philippines to connect our five DANP values to their daily lives.

Deaf Accessibility Network of the Philippines is working hand-in-hand with Filipino Sign Language National Network (FSLN2) on promoting the implementation of the FSL Act (R.A. 11106) for the recognition of Filipino Sign Language (FSL) as the national sign language of the Philippines.
FSLN2 has unique expertise and experience in the following areas: Filipino Sign Language National Network (FSLN2) is to serve as a venue for discussion among Deaf and hearing stakeholders on various topics about Filipino Sign Language.

The Commission Language on Filipino (CLF) [Komisayon sa Wikang Filipino] is slated to ink a partnership agreement with the National Coordination Network of Deaf Organizations (NCNDO), as well as National Coordination Network for Interpreting (NCNI). The NCNDO led by the national PFD, includes also: FSLAC, DANP, PFDYS, and PSFD. The NCNI as the network of interpreters and interpreting organizations is represented by PNASLI includes also: PRID, and PAIDE. The CLF is establishing a Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Unit to serve as its resource group to coordinate for the planning and implementation of the promotion and teaching of FSL, and also the institutionalization of sign language interpreting in all government entitles. The MOA was signed take place on July 2022 at the CLF Office.
the Filipino Sign Language National Network, and Deaf Accessibility Network in the Philippines, in partnership with: the Filipino Sign Language Advocacy Cooperative, Philippine Federation of the Deaf, and Philippine Federation of the Deaf Youth Section. We are the civil society & peoples' organizations/groups which organized the 1st Filipino Sign Language National Summit on February 20-21, 2021. The online 2-day conference was a culmination of Pre-Summit Sessions covering various topics on the use of FSL in various aspects of Deaf community life. Among these important conversations
Our target is to raise awareness among Filipino Deaf and hearing advocates in the Philippines. We want to empower the Deaf Community as a whole. The theme of our online program for this first national event is: “Implementing the Filipino Sign Language Act (R.A. 11106) for our national sign language” which aims to unite Deaf Filipinos to together fight and end communication and information barriers in the Philippines. The historical law promotes equality and stops discrimination of Deaf Filipinos as persons with disabilities and as a unique linguistic & cultural community.
The program for the Summit proper brings together important Deaf and hearing resource persons in human rights advocacy, health, education, Deaf and Filipino culture and visual literature, all discussing Filipino Sign Language. These are important sections stated in the FSL Act. Because the issuance of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) has been delayed for over two years now, the Summit is hoped to push this forward.
